The Adventures of Ellie and Teddy

For my grandparents' fiftieth wedding anniversary, my family asked me to create a pictorial representation of their love story.

 

Their love story inspired the picture book, The Adventures of Ellie and Teddy. Ellie and Teddy are based on my youngest cousins. Each page highlights a location in the neighborhood where my grandparents met. My family spends the summer there every year, so the multigenerational joy and serenity was the key part in the illustration practice.
