Literary Postcards

After doing work inspired by literature in the “Pen to Pastry” series and the hand drawn book covers, I wanted to explore making art as if I were writing.

Using books with strong female characters who love exploring nature, who are in independent thinkers, and embrace living through writing, I wanted to craft postcards from the characters as much as they are for them.

By drawing detailed imagery from the books, it felt as if I was taking the time to carefully choose what these thoughtful women would say to their pen pal, myself.
